The aim of this brief was to create old worldly vintage inspired labels for The Old N1 Craft Distillery’s new Craft Tonic Range. The brief also specified the creation of a promotional pack for the craft tonics.
The Client was very specific in regards to what was envisioned for the launch of the new craft tonic range. We were instructed to create four labels which includes a: classic tonic, iconic tonic, heritage tonic, and vintage tonic. Old vintage cars were a given for this brief.
My concept was to have a vintage yet modern look to create an eye-catching finished product that would stand out on the shelf. I was inspired by vintage typography and its decorative layout. The vintage cars were all hand picked by me by what I thought were the iconic motors of the past. Each of my labels are white and consist of one bright, vibrant colour. I chose this to give it a sleek, modern look that pulled away from what was understood as a vintage label, dull with neutral colours. The end result is modern yet vintage label with its vintage inspired typography, vintage motors and bright vibrant colours against a white label.
